SCE subsidy for the maintenance of self-employment of self-employed persons without employees and the maintenance of employment of employees hired by microenterprises and to facilitate the productive transformation of companies towards a green and digital economy.
This grant has been announced by the SCE for which an amount of €3,242.00 will be granted to each self-employed person, microenterprise or collective enterprise applicant. This amount must be used to invest in maintaining employment and either in transforming the production of the company making it more sustainable or in digitizing it.
There are two lines of subsidy:
1.Self-employed persons without workers: the subsidy is granted for the maintenance of self-employment, and they must meet the following requirements: That their fiscal domicile is in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. They must have a turnover of less than two million Euros.
2. Micro-companies (including self-employed persons with employees) and cooperatives and worker-owned companies, which must meet the following requirements:
- That they develop their activity in the territory of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, where they must have at least one work center.
- That they do not have more than ten salaried workers.
- That they have a turnover of less than two million Euros In both lines, the applicants must be up to date with their tax and obligations.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE BENEFICIARY ENTITIES:
Individuals or legal entities that turn out to be beneficiaries of this subsidy must:
- Carry out a workshop or training pill from among those provided by the Center for Guidance, Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Employment of the SCE, which will contribute to the transition of their activity towards a green economy, to the implementation of environmentally friendly practices, or that will contribute to their digital transformation. It will be necessary to select the chosen option (green economy or digital transformation) at the time of application, being able to opt for both and choose preference for one of them.
- Self-employed without employees must maintain self-employment for at least six months after the grant is awarded.
- Micro-companies must maintain the employment of the permanent and temporary workers hired at the time of applying for the subsidy for at least six months after the subsidy is granted. The cooperatives or labor societies, will have to maintain during the same period the worker-members or workers that they had at the time of applying for the subsidy.
All these obligations and requirements will have to be justified by means of a report and the pertinent documentation.
According to the bases, they will be obliged to submit to monitoring, control and evaluation by the SCE and, in the event of non-compliance, return the amount of the subsidy with the corresponding interest.
